PARC conducted awareness sessions on gender and social entrepreneurship for a group of beneficiaries via Zoom as part of the "Empowerment: Empowering Vulnerable Youth to Establish Small and Micro-Sustainable Projects" project funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the Belgian Development Agency Enabel.
Gender session addressed the concept of gender equality and the impact of social and cultural factors on our definition of it and the formation of stereotypical perceptions about roles and responsibilities. Meanwhile, the social entrepreneurship session discussed the concept of social entrepreneurship and how it has evolved between the past and the present, the foundations of social entrepreneurship, and the benefits of transitioning to social entrepreneurship. The sessions included discussions on various concepts with the aim of engaging youth and listening to different perspectives.
It is worth mentioning that these training sessions were part of the incubation period for a group of beneficiaries aimed at building their capacities, skills, and increasing their knowledge about important social issues and topics.
