Position Title: Field Assistant 
Period: 5 Months with possibility of extension depending on the work performance
Location: Gaza City & South Governorates - two positions (one Field Assistant will be based in Gaza City and one in the South)
Starting date: 1st of December 2025

Job purpose summary:

The Field Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of the "Emergency Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance to Address the Critical Needs of Vulnerable and Displaced Families in Gaza Strip" project.

Field Assistants are responsible for the timely completion of work orders, selecting beneficiaries, conducting PDM surveys and FGDs, and carrying out field contact activities. Their responsibilities also include tracking expenditure patterns, identifying unmet needs and protection risks, assessing perceived fairness, collecting feedback on the delivery modality, conducting market monitoring, ensuring accountability, gathering feedback, managing complaints, and preparing field progress reports.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder is expected to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours accordingly.

Main Tasks and Duties:

• Support the implementation of the "Emergency Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance to Address the Critical Needs of Vulnerable and Displaced Families in Gaza Strip" project.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Prepare a work plan and follow up on its implementation.
• Select beneficiaries according to project criteria.
• Conduct PDM surveys and focus group discussions (FGDs).
• Carry out field contact activities with targeted beneficiaries.
• Track expenditure patterns and identify unmet needs and protection risks.
• Assess perceived fairness and collect feedback on the delivery modality.
• Conduct market monitoring as required.
• Ensure accountability and collect feedback from beneficiaries.
• Manage complaints and cases according to accountability guidelines.
• Prepare and submit field progress reports.
• Work outside normal duties and adjust working hours as needed during major humanitarian emergencies.
