Gaza - The Agricultural Development Associations (PARC) and the Community Protection team in Rafah held a workshop for members of Community Protection Committees for 40 displaced persons' gatherings in the Mawasi area of Rafah and Tal al-Sultan in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, with the aim of ensuring unity of position, direction, and performance efficiency.

Committee members reviewed achievements in implementing the Community Protection Program's action plan in Rafah, including the development of a unified profile for displaced communities and ongoing data updates, as well as networking efforts with civil society institutions.

The Rafah Community Protection Committees team noted that 12 other displaced persons' gatherings were visited earlier to identify the most important problems facing displaced persons in the Shaboura and Kharba al-Adas areas of Rafah, with the aim of assessing their conditions, identifying problems and needs. Citizens were consulted and participated in evaluating their conditions, documenting the problems they face in detail, and making recommendations to meet their needs within agricultural relief interventions in those gatherings.

The next phase will include the implementation of 3 advocacy campaigns and at least 11 community initiatives, aimed at providing protection and assistance in meeting urgent needs and reducing the cumulative impact of the ongoing war.

Results and trends indicate the importance of continuing joint efforts to improve the conditions of displaced persons and alleviate their suffering in refugee camps in Rafah.
