In its sixteenth season, PARC launched its "إحنا معكم" campaign from the Gaza Strip with the        participationof several volunteers, community activists, and representatives of various NGOs, this campaign came as part of “Enhancing Sustainable Livelihood and Inclusive Economic Opportunities in the OPT” “ARD II” project’s interventions, which is funded by Luxemburg Government.

Thecampaign aims to assist Palestinian farmers in harvesting olives during this difficult time of year, given the harsh living and humanitarian conditions faced by Gaza Strip residents, who have       been in a war for more than a year, in which nearly 42,000 people were killed, including 16,927 children and 11,487 women.

The destruction that caused by the war has affected large sectors of the economic and productive structure of the Gaza Strip, especially the infrastructure, including the agricultural sector, as the war resulted in the destruction of more than half of the agricultural land in the Strip, and 57% of agricultural land necessary for food security became largely destroyed, 33% of greenhouses were also destroyed, and there were major losses in water collection wells for irrigating crops.

This season also comes in light of the severe restrictions imposed by the occupation on the entry of food aid to the citizens in the Gaza Strip, especially the northern part, which has led to high levels of acute food insecurity. According to data published by IPC, 96 percent of the population of the Gaza Strip will face high levels of acute food insecurity until the end of 2024 if the blockade continues and aid is not allowed to enter the Strip.

Despite the complex security conditions that Palestine is witnessing in various governorates, PARC seeks through its campaigns in the olive harvest season to support farmers in harvesting their olive oil crop, in addition to highlighting the occupation's human rights violations against farmers and the agricultural sector in Palestine, which is under constant attacks and violations by the occupation forces and settlers, since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip. The violations included killing and intimidation, restricting farmers' ability to access their lands and confiscations. Due to these violations an estimated 15% of olive oil production for this season is expected to lose.

In 2023, according to a report by OCHA, the restrictions imposed by the occupation on farmers' access to their lands caused more than 96,000 dunams of land planted with olive trees to remain unharvested, especially those lands located behind or near the separation wall, or those located near Israeli settlements.
