Period: 6 Months with possibility of extension depending on the work performance

Job Purpose

The Agri-Business Development Officer is responsible for the technical implementation of agribusiness support activities under the project. The role focuses on assessing, supporting, and following up with selected agribusiness MSMEs and youth entrepreneurs to improve business performance, strengthen recovery processes, and enhance operational and managerial capacities in line with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct structured field and desk-based assessments for selected agribusiness MSMEs.
  2. Support the development and revision of business plans and operational plans for participating enterprises.
  3. Provide tailored technical and business advisory support to MSMEs and youth entrepreneurs.
  4. Follow up on enterprise recovery and implementation progress against agreed support plans.
  5. Contribute to the implementation of entrepreneurship training and the Agriculture Hackathon.
  6. Support the selection and mentoring process of youth-led agribusiness initiatives.
  7. Coordinate with trainers, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to ensure coherent service delivery.
  8. Support monitoring, documentation, and reporting of project activities and results.
  9. Contribute to the organization of market linkage and visibility activities, including the final marketing event. 
Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in agribusiness development, MSME support, or enterprise development projects.
  • Strong understanding of agribusiness value chains and SME challenges in fragile contexts.
  • Experience in business planning and advisory support.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and good working knowledge of English.
